Requirements

To be considered for a position with Bright Starts, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Have prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or teaching students from grade levels K-12 or above
  • Hold a degree or higher in education, mental health, law, or science from an accredited college or university
  • Possess outstanding organizational skills, punctuality, and excellent communication abilities
  • Be a problem solver and a great team player
  • Have computer proficiency
  • Be able to commit for at least 6 months or more
  • Be fluent in English
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Flexibility with days and times for tutoring sessions
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines for required documentation
  • Able to attend company orientation/training sessions

Job Responsibilities

As a tutor with Bright Starts, you will be expected to:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students throughout the State of Florida
  • Develop personalized curriculum based on students' learning needs and goals
  • Utilize learning technology to enhance teaching methods and engage students
  • Plan and implement engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and school staff to track student progress
  • Utilize organizational and computer skills to track student performance and adjust teaching strategies accordingly

Tutors at Bright Starts typically work 2 to 3 hours per week with each student. You’ll coordinate scheduling directly with the student’s caregivers, offering flexibility to increase your number of students. All sessions must be documented via an online program to ensure accurate tracking of student progress.
